Ella made one of these fabulous bird feeders at school last week so we decided to replicate the craft as it was so successful. We also purchased a bag of 'chilli flavored, squirrel proofed, wild bird seed' and will be interested to see whether the 'squirrel proofing' provides adequate squirrel protection. By cutting holes in the juice carton and adding a piece of string, the remaining container is a perfect receptacle of the bird seed. Makes for great bird-spotting too!
