We made banana bread today due to excess bananas going bad. I've been substituting sugar ( this recipe called for one cup of sugar) with agave syrup. Agave is sweet and makes for a nice change to granulated sugar.
Made from the Agave plant and commonly used in Mexico, Agave syrup is a wonderful alternative, particularly in baking. It's sweeter than sugar so you need less than table sugar in order to get a similar flavor. We found ours at the Canadian Superstore!
Here's the link to the recipe!
